Let’s get real – the idea of stripping down and stepping in front of a camera is terrifying for most people. If you’re nervous about your boudoir session, you’re not alone – in fact, about 99% of my clients walk in with the same fear. But here’s the good news: nerves are normal, and they don’t have to hold you back from one of the most empowering things you’ll ever do for yourself.
Here are my favorite ways to boost your confidence before your shoot:
You’re not here to impress anyone. You’re doing this to celebrate your body, your story, your strength – exactly as it is today. Boudoir is about empowerment, not perfection. Your reason is enough.
Forget what you “should” wear – if lace doesn’t feel like you, skip it. Bring outfits that make you feel confident, sexy, and strong. This could be a lacy set, an oversized sweater, a body chain, or just a bare sheet. (Pro tip: You’ll look hot when you feel good.)
Music changes everything. Whether you’re into Beyonce, Megan Thee Stallion, or Fleetwood Mac, we’ll blast your favorite songs to keep the energy high andd nerves low. Confidence sounds like your favorite hype anthem on repeat.
You don’t need to know how to pose or where to put your hands – that’s my job. I guide you every step of the way with poses that flatter your body, and I’ll never let you feel awkward or unsure. This isn’t about “looking sexy” – it’s about feeling powerful.
Here’s a secret: confidence doesn’t always come before the shoot. Sometimes, it shows up during or after. You don’t need to be fearless – you just need to show up. Let the experience build your confidence one frame at a time.
Not 10 pounds from now. Not when you finally feel “ready.”
Right now. Just as you are.
So go ahead – feel the fear. Bring the nerves. And then do it anyway. You’ll be blown away by what you see on the other side.
Still nervous? Have questions? I’d love to talk it through with you.
